I hope this escallates to the EU courts. Seems like tremendous governmental overreach

I doubt EU courts will make a fair judgement

Interesting. Gets into things a normal article really cannot and it sure sounded like how things sometimes work.

I laughed when I saw the 2 working days to prepare (5 including weekend). While it is irritating as can be, that actually isn't a terrible deadline. The attorneys were right to complain, but I didn't feel bad for them as that is why they can probably bill out at over $1,000 per hour.

Really interesting and absolutely a spin-off series of "Chip War" and "Focus ASML"!

Interesting read. The issue arises is when one is even a 100% shareholder of a company in the EU, one does not have any management control over the company. So what’s the point in investing in any business enterprise in the EU. Might as well sell clogs on the roadside in Amsterdam.

Exercising some degree of control over companies that operate on your soil and employ your citizens doesn't seem unreasonable to me. Corporate governance is at least as important as employer protections and environmental standards.
